Quick Start
The Three Basic Steps to joining CellarX.com
|
| 1. Register To Bid |
You are welcome to peruse this auction site all you wish,
but you will need to
Register to Bid first if you find something you wish to bid on. During
registration, you will agree to the terms, rules and conditions of sale. After you have registered as a bidder, then you may register as a seller.
|
| 2. Change your password ( optional
) |
When you register you will immediately be emailed a password
along with the Member ID that you selected. This password is generated by
us. You might want to change it to one that is more familiar to you. You
can do this in the
Member Login
section. Simply go there and then click on "Update Contact Info."
|
| 3. Register to Sell |
After you have registered to bid, you can then register to sell. The reason these are separate is that most users will bid and not sell. There are dozens of extra features that the seller will see once registered
such as number of hits, etc., that the common bidder will not want to see. If you have already registered to bid, then we provide a Quick Register section
so that you don't have to fill in duplicate information. |

Frequently Asked Questions
( if you have a question, please feel free
to email us .. we will answer
you and also post your question here so that others can benefit )
|
|
Q |
How come the auction isn't over at the specified
time? |
|
A |
CellarX.com is using "Dynamic" auctions. This means that the bidding
stops after the bidding deadline and where no bids have been received after
5 minutes. This emulates a typical Live Auction room setting.
|
|
Q |
How do I keep my good feedback rating
from another site? |
|
A |
Simply e-mail
info@CellarX.com with
your request, your feedback rating LINK from a similar site and we will
gladly add a feedback (verified) to your ID for others to confirm. |
| Q |
I'm selling and I just won plane tickets
to Paris for a month. Can I end an Auction early? |
| A |
Yes, if you have a bidder, you can end your Auction at any
time! |
| Q |
What's a "BuyIt!" item? |
|
A |
If the seller simply wants to sell his wine at a given price,
he would list it as a "BuyIt" item along with the price that he wants for
the wine. This is an excellent feature for both parties involved. |
|
Q |
I have 12 bottles of a wine, but I don't want to do a
"Yankee" Auction. |
|
A |
Make the Quantity "1", but in your description put "12 Bottles." You
can also put together some nice assortments for folks this way as well.
Assortments are an excellent way to handle lower priced items at Auction.
|
|
Q |
Where's my ID? I placed a bid and was
notified by e-mail... |
|
A |
On a lot where there are multiple quantities, the ID is
left blank in lieu of listing all the bidders that are current high bidders. |
