Hyperlinks to your items are e-mailed to you with a daily report. You can use these links to promote your items directly. If you have an e-mail list that you would like to send your links to but are not sure how to get the best results, we would be happy to assist you in that effort.

Ask your Buyers to post positive feedback and follow up on your request. If you have positive feedback, more bidders will feel comfortable bidding on your items, thus increasing your final sales.

Quotes and Ratings from industry leaders are very, very helpful. However, be careful that you don't round a "95+" to a "96" or purposely use an old rating that is higher than a current rating.

Try not to use a "reserve" - This tends to irritate bidders. If you start off with a fair price (after checking with the above resources), bidding activity will follow. Most successful bidders will bid in the remaining minutes, so don't be nervous if an hour before the close of the Auction, there is very little activity.

If you were not successful in selling your item the first time out, you can use our Re-List Feature! However, if you uploaded an image to CellarX.com, you will have to re-upload it. We need to delete images after an Auction ends to free up resources. Thank you.

CellarX.com uses a type of Auction called a Dynamic Auction. This means that at the close of the auction, if there are additional bids within 5 minutes, the Auction will remain open for more bidding. This is a very popular feature that nets sellers higher results. And gives the 56k modem folks a chance at bidding.

If you have a case of wine that you wish to sell together, you can list the quantity as "1", but in your description of that item you would specify that the item as "12 bottles." If you put in a quantity of 12, then the Auction becomes a Yankee Auction and bidding is accomplished per bottle much like winebid.com

If you are unsure of current laws about shipping wines out of your state, please consult the legal links we have available.
